Memory Preservation

Echo Entities instinctively preserve forgotten histories, identities, and knowledge that have vanished from every other reality.

Timeline Resonance

They perceive multiple timelines simultaneously and occasionally reveal fragments of alternate futures or forgotten pasts to those they encounter.

Echo Projection

Echo Entities can recreate vivid scenes from extinct civilizations, allowing others to briefly witness moments that no longer exist.

"They are not ghosts. They are memories that refused to disappear."

Echo Entities are among the most mysterious beings documented within the ALTERED REALITIES universe. Unlike every other Entity Class, they are not born through biology, corruption, or evolution.

They are manifestations of forgotten existence.

Every Echo carries fragments of civilizations, lives, and entire timelines that no longer exist within reality—but continue to survive inside the Echo Sanctum.

They are living memories.

Unlike the Obsidian, Echo Entities do not conquer.

Unlike Mimics, they do not deceive.

Unlike Lumen, they do not preserve nature.

Their purpose is preservation of memory.

Every Echo Entity exists to safeguard fragments of realities that would otherwise disappear forever.

They protect:

  • forgotten histories

  • extinct civilizations

  • lost knowledge

  • erased identities

  • alternate futures

Without them...

Entire universes would be forgotten.

Echo Entities are partially physical and partially mnemonic lifeforms.

Rather than existing entirely within matter, they are composed of:

  • residual consciousness

  • dimensional resonance

  • memory energy

  • temporal fragments

  • psychic impressions

  • echo particles

Many possess translucent bodies that constantly fluctuate between solid and intangible states.

Some appear ancient.

Others resemble individuals from civilizations erased millions of years ago.

No two Echo Entities ever look completely alike.

Each one reflects the memories that created it.

The Echo Sanctum exists beyond conventional time.

It is a realm formed from abandoned realities:

  • erased futures

  • forgotten civilizations

  • failed histories

  • alternate timelines

Whenever an entire reality disappears, it does not vanish completely.

Its memories drift into the Echo Sanctum.

Over countless ages those memories condensed into conscious beings.

The first Echo Entities were born from civilizations that no longer existed anywhere else.

They remember lives...

that reality itself has forgotten.

whisper

  • weak residual memories given temporary physical form.

  • Often disappear within minutes.

reflection

  • echos capable of perfectly recreating people, voices, and locations.

  • frequently mistaken for reality.

Memory weaver

  • entities capable of altering or rewriting memories.

  • victims often question their own past.

Timeline Keeper

  • ancient echoes preserving abandoned timelines.

  • Every encounter reveals impossible histories.

eternal echo

  • living archies containing memories from countless extinct civilizations.

  • Exposure often causes irreparable psychological damage.

THE ORIGINAL memories

  • a legendary consciousness believed to contain very timlien thatever exited - or failed to exist.

At the center of every Echo Entity exists an extraordinary organ known as the Echo Core.

Unlike biological organs, the Echo Core stores memories instead of energy.

Each Core contains:

  • personal memories

  • extinct languages

  • historical events

  • emotional experiences

  • forgotten knowledge

  • alternate timelines

The older an Echo becomes...

The more realities it remembers.

Some Echo Cores are believed to contain millions of years of forgotten history.

Echo Entities are not naturally hostile.

However, prolonged exposure to the Echo Sanctum slowly blurs the distinction between one's own memories and those preserved within the realm.

Researchers have documented explorers who returned believing they belonged to civilizations that had never existed.

Others chose never to leave, convinced the Sanctum contained their "true" life.
